Anti-spots
Also called “sea ferns”, this brown algae changes its appearance in summer. It gives off a characteristic aromatic scent out of water thanks to the presence of terpenes; it is also at the origin of the iodized perfume of the Hawaiian coasts. It is capable of regulating melanogenesis in order to lighten pigment spots and reduce them in size. Rich in anti-oxidants, it is also believed to have anti-aging properties. It is also capable of softening the skin by stimulating collagen. It is found in hair products because it helps strengthen hair and stimulates its regrowth.
They are mainly found on the coasts of the Atlantic Ocean, in France and on the American coasts.
